The Rules of Halo: Next Generation                          Last Updated: 2/27/10

These are the rules of Halo: Next Generation, also known as HNG.  Do not break these rules or you will be punished at the full extent of the mighty BAN HAMMA. Thank you.

The Rules are periodically changed to be better and more efficient. Check them periodically as well. The dates of the last update of the sections in The Rules will help show you what was updated. Below, "we", "us", "our", and "HNG"are all in reference to Halo: Next Generation

The Rules of Halo: Next Generation are known by the name The Rules, da Rules, Rules, etc... When we say something about the rules you will now know what we're talking about.

This is not the Halo: Next Generation Gamer Guidelines. (HNG3)  Those can be found here or by going to the navigation bar on the left of your screen and clicking on the link named HNG Gamer Guidelines.

Your continued use of this website means you have accepted and will follow the Rules below.

Forum Rules                                                                                     Last Updated: 12/30/10

These are the rules of the forums.

* No SPAM Allowed - SPAM is defined here to any post that does not contribute to normal, reasonable, on-topic discussion on these forums

*  No Bumping - Do not bump threads in the forums.  Bump: to keep a thread active to make it seen more by saying "bump".  It is considered a version of spam.  If you "must" bump a thread do us all a favor and post something to do with the topic.I seriously doubt that any of these threads here have anything to do with or is related to "bumps" or "bumping". So stay on topic!

* Do Not Abuse the Forum Posting Tools - Here at HNG we have access to unique(or unique compared to other websites) posting tools. (This is considered Spam)  If I see huge text, all caps, all bold, all underlined, all italicized, etc... posts in the forum then the Mods are gonna make the Hamma Fall.  And their gonna make it fall hard.

* No Advertising - Do not advertise any where on this website. Do not blatantly advertise yours or someone else's product, website, etc... here.

* No Trolling - Do not Troll in HNG to get attention. We don't need it and it will not be tolerated.

* No Feeding The Trolls - "Does this look like a petting zoo to you?" Trust me it's not.  Do not keep posting in a Troll's thread, not even just to say, "He/She is a Troll! Do not post here."  If you don't post there then the Troll will sulk away back under the bridge.

* No Flaming - We want to have fun and we encourage new ideas and creative thoughts from our member.  Do not insult someone for their ideas here or insult them in any other way. We do not like to see our members insulting and fighting with each other. I recommend acting like mature adults and not like little kids. Even if you are a kid, act mature.

* Show Respect - Show respect to all of Halo: Next Generation. This means to show respect to your peers, to the members of HNG, to the Moderators, to the Administrators, etc... Show respect.

* No Discrimination - Do not discriminate anyone in Halo: Next Generation because of their race, skin color, gender, looks, physical characteristics, mental characteristics,  etc...  It is not approved here and will not be tolerated.

* ¡KEEP IT G-Rated! (No Vulgar Words or Swearing) - Here at HNG we want minimal to none of swearing/vulgar words. Keep it G-Rated.There are children in the vicinity.

* No Inappropriate Talk - HNG does not need any inappropriate talk on this website.  Very minimal to none of inappropriate talk please. Be mature.

* No Inappropriate Links - HNG does not want any inappropriate links anywhere on this website.  The links here will not lead to any inappropriate websites, images, etc...  Most definitely not tolerated here.

HNG allows you to create a profile when you are a member of HNG.  We expect you to be a responsible person and not to put information about yourself that others could use to steal your identity or other bad things to you. Your profile is for your own personal space. You can tell people about yourself or not. We do not encourage you to share too much information with the world because you do not always know who is looking. Do not put too much information about yourself down. This website can be used as a socializing website but you never want to leave yourself too vulnerable to others.

You are restricted from having unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content as determined by Halo: Next Generation moderators or staff. Such as (but not limited to) images, pictures, videos, links and screenshots.

Though you are not allowed to share personal pictures or yourself and family and/or pets, etc... you can share it on your profile. Just as long as it does not violate or break any of the rules stated here.

Signature Rules

You signature can be whatever you want as long as it is not inappropriate, racial, political, etc... You have the ability to whether or not make your signature(sig) visible in the forums.  Your signature helps make your posts look more unique and helps you express yourself.  It could be a funny picture you found on the internet, or it could display your halo stats, or some of your own halo images. It could be whatever you want.  The targeted signature maximum length is 260px in height or length,  width does not matter.   Aim for a signature around there and you'll be fine.

Staff members reserve the right to remove your signature from your posts if it breaks any of these rules.  Staff members also will tell you to shrink your signature if necessary.  Or you will lose the privilege of displaying one.

Punishments -  Lose your forum posting privileges, become a limited member, be banned,  have your signature removed form almost every topic and/or be removed from the website.

Avatar Rules

Your avatar also helps express yourself. It can be whatever you want as long as it does not display anything inappropriate, racial, political, etc...

You can not imitate other members. If you have an avatar which is deemed by a staff member too much alike to another member's avatar you will be asked to change your avatar. This applies to all except for when using the Default avatar.
